What is a Woodland Burial Ground?:

In this case, we offer a burial ground at Much Hoole, near Preston, which provides an informal and meadow setting.

It provides a peaceful final resting place in a manner friendly towards nature, wildlife and the environment, with all burials being placed around mature trees.

A Woodland Burial Ground is not chosen for purely 'Green' reasons and provides far greater flexibility and less formality.  It allows you to sit in peace in natural and tranquil surroundings - it is an ideal place for reflection.

Historically, families commonly remained within their local area and maintenance of family graves was possible.  However, times change and many people have now turned to cremation as a means of avoiding untended graves.  A Woodland Burial Ground needs no such maintenance from family or friends to secure an everlasting dignified field of rest, as all maintenance is taken care of by our own staff.
