Much Hoole Woodland Burial Ground

"In 2005, I was granted permission to turn part of my land into the first privately-owned consecrated Woodland Burial Ground in the country.  So unique was it, that we were featured on television and other media.

Both myself, my wife and daughter live adjacant to the Burial Ground and both our staff and ourselves maintain the grounds.

I have more than 40 years experience in the funeral profession and can offer advice and assistance on any matter.  I am a Funeral Director myself, but you are welcome to use your own family firm if you so wish.  We, ourselves, are very much a family firm with my son running the monumental side of the business.  He provides all the flat sloping stones and inscriptions for the Woodland Burial Ground.

We strive to provide far more flexibility for families than a traditional Churchyard or Crematorium and will do our best to accommodate any special requests you may have.  If desired, I will gladly arrange an appointment to meet you, or discuss any queries you have over the telephone.

I am currently in the process of building the Woodland Burial Ground's very own Chapel which is close to completion.  This will provide us with a place for a Service (be it religious or non-religious), a shelter from the weather and a meeting place.

A tremendous amount of hard work and dedication has gone into this venture and I am extremely proud of the outcome.

When passing, please feel free to visit - I hope you will be impressed!"
